Project description

Municipalities in the Helmond de Peel region—Helmond, Geldrop-Mierlo and Laarbeek, Asten, Deurne, Gemert-Bakel, and Someren—share the ambition to actively involve newcomers in strengthening their local approach. We support this region by setting up a joint monitoring approach. We do this by first clearly mapping out the shared ambition and linking it to the Indicators of Integration model. Based on this, we develop an evaluation framework that fits the regional context. We then apply this framework through a multilingual survey among newcomers, supplemented by in-depth sessions based on our expert pool methodology, in which newcomers contribute their expertise as experienced professionals. This provides a rich and up-to-date picture of what newcomers need and experience, and gives the region tools to continue working in a targeted and coherent manner on inclusive integration.
