Naya heeft een achtergrond in genderstudies en rechten. Naya heeft interesse in poëzie en heeft twee dichtbundels uitgebracht waarin hun culturele, literaire en onderzoeksinteresses samenkomen om hun huidige ecosysteem van kennis te vormen. Naya gelooft dat schrijven en cultiveren van kennis twee belangrijke instrumenten zijn voor verandering. Naya is geïnteresseerd in culturele intersecties die nieuwkomers met zich meebrengen en streeft ernaar hierop de focus te leggen om gerelateerd beleid te ontwikkelen en verbeteren. Naya gelooft in collectieve samenwerking (focus op wij in plaats van ik) voor actuele systeemverandering.
