Labor Market and Participation Module
Leeuwarden
2024-2026
Bureau van der Hoest
MAP training
Together with the municipality of Leeuwarden we guide persons integrating in their introduction to the Dutch labor market. So that they can take sustainable control of their own lives and participation within the labor process.
After preparing for the Integration Act in 2021 (including with expert pools), this will bring us back to the Friesland region.
MAP training courses are made up of several elective modules, and have been developed with input from integration students themselves. The learning modules serve a dual purpose:
We work with experienced translators in Arabic, French, Turkish, Farsi and Berber, among other languages. This allows us to support participants in the best possible way. In addition, many of our trainers and translators have experience as newcomers themselves, so a bond of trust is quickly established with the participants.
We believe in the value of creating a community. The trainings are interactive and emphasize networking and peer-to-peer learning. We leverage the diversity of participants' knowledge as a source of strength. We encourage them to share experiences and exchange valuable tips with each other.
We are happy to put our previous experience to use with MAP Amsterdam. Here we have now trained more than 1,100 people, with a program developed with the input of newcomers themselves.
We are also collaborating with The Frisian agency Van der Hoest who is bringing in an innovative employer approach (MeT-AAND8). This strengthens our connection to the social domain and the employer network in Leeuwarden.
