Project description

Libraries can play a crucial role in the informal language acquisition of newcomers. But the many offerings far from always reach the people who need them most. Which strategies work and which don't, and how can we make better use of the knowledge available in libraries?

Together with the language specialists at ITTA, we are investigating successful recruitment strategies for this purpose.

Results & insights

We immediately put the successful recruitment strategies we found in the study into practice with two regional library organizations. This resulted in training and instructional materials that the entire sector can benefit from.
