Knowledge by, for and about newcomers

Forward Incubator pairs the talents of newcomers with innovative companies

Forward Incubator (formerly Refugees Forward) supports entrepreneurs from refugee backgrounds in starting their own businesses.

Forward Incubator has a four-month program in which entrepreneurs get access to training, coaching by experienced entrepreneurs, support from students and access to a network of companies and investors. Forward Incubator operates in Amsterdam and Rotterdam and works with innovative startups, social enterprises, international trading companies and the creative sector.

Forward Incubator exists primarily to offer exceptional talent and experienced professionals the chance to be successful in the Netherlands. In addition, they show what innovation newcomers can bring to the Dutch economy and offer locals a chance to help newcomers in starting their businesses and the integration process. Forward Incubator powerfully demonstrates the invaluable value of diversity by bringing more than 50 nationalities together in its programs.

Forward Incubator is part of The Fundament : Newcomers & Work. This platform supports social initiatives focused on construction, care, entrepreneurship and hospitality, and builds knowledge about what does and does not work for the passage of newcomers to the labor market. My experience with Forward Incubator is unique. Since I joined, I felt there is
genuine desire from the RF team, coaches and students to help. I
consider the team working with me a very sincere one, I don't feel
that I would do the same without them. The team and myself
have one goal which is to achieve a sustainable business that will
allow me to be self dependent for the coming future. The
workshops offer a variety of topics that are much needed for us to
understand the Dutch work culture, know the differences between
our cultures, get an overview about financial matters as well as
how to write a proper business plan.
