Knowledge by, for and about newcomers

Documentary Edu4U

Together for equal opportunity in education

Edu4U is one of the successful initiatives of the Platform Newcomers and Work, a project of OpenEmbassy. Documentary filmmaker Handan Tufan interviews founders Hussein Haji Abdulsalam and Mohamed Baghdadi, founders of Edu4U and a number of employees. They talk about how they provide customized education for the future of newcomers in the Netherlands.

Solving obstacles

Edu4U is committed to helping newcomers overcome the obstacles to move on to an MBO, HBO or Wo education. They do this with weekend courses, exam training and customized training and coaching.

Edu4U began in 2017 with a small room at VU University. They have since grown into a successful institute with more than 300 students from across the country.

"Nothing is impossible. There are multiple paths to reach your goal. So just keep pushing forward and keep learning!"

Hussein Haji Abdulsalam, founder of Edu4U
