Project description

Mensen in de asielopvang en ongedocumenteerden hebben nauwelijks toegang tot werk, terwijl dat aantoonbaar voor zelfredzaamheid en welzijn zorgt. De gemeente Utrecht wil daar verandering in brengen, en vroeg aan Social Impact Factory en OpenEmbassy een verkenning van de kansen voor meer toegang. Specifiek vanuit het perspectief van nieuwkomers en werkgevers.

 

Results & insights

To this end, we organized expert pools with people who are undocumented and with people seeking asylum. We also held a design session with employers, in which we created an overview with insights for policy and opportunities for implementation. The municipality used these insights to further develop their programs together with employers.
