Monitoring framework
On behalf of the Municipality of Almere, we are supporting the municipality in realizing its ambition to monitor, from a broad perspective, how Almere residents who are required to integrate are building their lives in Almere.
Based on the policy framework "From immigrant to Almeerder," we worked with municipal officials to determine what data and information is needed to assess whether the municipality's policy is having the desired effect, and we determined where that data can be obtained.
This project is part of OpenEmbassy work with municipalities OpenEmbassy implement the learning system. Using the scientific Indicators of Integration model that we have brought to the Netherlands, we work with municipalities to determine the areas of life for which it is important to collect data. Social partners in the municipality are involved in these processes in order to arrive at a joint product.
This data collection focuses on the perspective of newcomers. Some of the data can be collected directly from newcomers themselves through surveys, expert pools, focus groups, and interviews.
This allows us to provide the municipality with insights that show where adjustments can be made to the municipality's integration mandate.
