The instability of receiving people from Ukraine is one of the biggest sources of stress. This is also an obstacle to finding suitable work, while suitable and sustainable work is a prerequisite for greater autonomy in arranging one's own housing.
Temporary employment arrangements for EU migrant workers often have direct consequences for their livelihood security.
EU labor migrants who come to the Netherlands through a temporary employment arrangement are often offered housing by the sending agency in addition to work. In this situation, ending the working relationship has direct consequences for people's livelihood security. Access to basic services ceases along with the working relationship. The most accessible option to still be able to stay in the Netherlands is to look for a similar temporary employment construction. In this way, people, some of whom have lived in the Netherlands for years, continue to rotate within an alternative system designed to facilitate temporary residence.
