Knowledge by, for and about newcomers

Indicators of Integration

We look at the support of newcomers from the perspective of Alison and Strang's Indicator of Integration Framework. A scientifically founded model based on the experiences of newcomers themselves, which we developed intensively for the Dutch context together with the founders.

Evidence-based model

The original Indicators of Integration model has been further developed by academic institutions from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. In cooperation with the IOM, governments, NGOs and newcomers. Behind the indicators is a great deal of knowledge and a huge dataset.

Design and evaluate integration policies

In all our projects, we gather knowledge based on this evidence-based model. It helps to design, develop, measure and evaluate integration policies. So that municipalities, social organizations and employers can allow newcomers to participate as effectively as possible.

Structured and dynamic framework

The model provides a structured basis for consistent data collection as well as a framework that policymakers and implementers can adapt to their dynamic and specific local context.
