About Fatih Aktas

Fatih is a senior researcher at OpenEmbassy Utrecht University of Applied Sciences. His expertise lies in the field of migration, the post-migration process, and the integration and entrepreneurship of migrants. He completed his bachelor's and master's degrees at Dumlupınar University and obtained his PhD in 2017 from Istanbul University, specializing in migration studies. Fatih has worked in the Turkish public sector for 15 years. He is fluent in Turkish, Dutch, and English, and is proficient in Arabic.

Fatih is a passionate table tennis player and instructor. He combines his love for the sport with academic research. One of his main focuses is participatory and co-creative migration studies through the medium of sport.
